Instructions for setting up the Offside Interactive pages on your computer. The interactive pages have been designed to work in Microsoft Explorer. There is no guarantee that they will work in other browser software such as FireFox, Navigator, Mozilla etc. The files are simply constructed, and will work via standard software which should already be available on most computers. But please note, that you load these files at your own risk. I do not accept any responsibly for any problems that you incur on your computer. When you load the files onto your computer, no program is set up, and no changes are made to Registry values. The files are simple html and image files that have no effect on your operating system. It is a simple system. The files can be moved from one computer (or folder) to another computer or folder. If you have any problems, please email me. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Download the offact.zip file from the URL below, and save it into a folder on your computer. http://www.carosi.freeserve.co.uk/corshamreferee/offact/offact.zip The download link is also available here: http://www.carosi.freeserve.co.uk/corshamreferee/laws.htm The offact.zip file contains all of the files and images that are required for all of the interactive pages. The files in total are less than 1Mb and can be placed on one floppy disk if required. The interactive pages will run faster if they are saved onto your hard drive. There is nothing special about the files, they are simple standard html and image files and are all virus free. If you wish to link each interactive presentation via a PowerPoint file, you will find instructions on how to do this, in the file named link_in_ppt.ppt You do not need PowerPoint to make the interactive pages work. 2. Once you have saved the offact.zip file onto your computer, double click the offact.zip file and this will open the WinZip standard program on your computer. Most computers have this program already loaded. If nothing happens, then you do not have a WinZip file on your computer. You can download WinZip from a number of web sites by typing in WinZip into the Google search engine www.google.com 3. Use the WinZip Extract button (or the Actions and then the Extract menus) and extract all of the files from the offact.zip file, and place them into one folder on your computer. It is important that ALL the files are placed in ONE single folder on your computer, else the pages will not work properly. 4. Once you have loaded all of the files loaded onto your computer, all you need to do to open an interactive page, is to use Explore (Start button and then select Explore) and use your mouse to double-click one of the files below. offactiv.htm coach.htm coachbig.htm offtab1.htm This will open each of the interactive page. The coachbig.htm file is useful if you have a large screen. If you intend to use the interactive pages, please can you email me for permission. The files are provided in good faith, and are useful to Referee Instructors for teaching new Referees. Julian Carosi. Email address: julian@carosi.freeserve.co.uk WebSite www.CorshamRef.net
